Hi everyone, my name is Chelsea and I’m creating this fundraiser for my friend Mycah, a devoted mother of five boys who has been quietly fighting a severe post viral neurological illness for the last three years.

Before she got sick, Mycah was constantly on the go, caring for her boys, keeping up with life, and doing all the things a busy mom does. But after a viral infection, her health took a sharp and frightening turn. Since then, she has battled daily crashes, weakness, nerve pain, dizziness, and symptoms that leave her feeling extremely sick even on her “good” days. She rarely talks about how bad it truly is, but it has been heartbreaking to watch her struggle for so long.

Mycah has seen doctor after doctor locally, but no one has been able to give her the help or answers she desperately needs. Meanwhile, her ability to function day to day and show up fully for her boys has been slipping away, and she is exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally.

There is hope, though.

There is a specialist in Texas who focuses on the exact type of autonomic and neurological dysfunction Mycah is dealing with. He helped her once before, and he is one of the few doctors in the country actively treating this condition with approaches that have changed patients’ lives. A full workup with him could finally give Mycah the path forward she’s been searching for.

Unfortunately, his care is completely out of pocket, and the travel, testing, and appointments are more than her family can manage right now.

That’s why I’m asking for help on her behalf.

Our goal is to raise $8,000 to cover:

• travel to Texas

• medical testing and specialist appointments

• treatment recommended by the doctor

• lodging and related expenses

Mycah is one of the strongest people I know. She has fought this silently for so long, doing everything she can to stay present for her five boys despite feeling sick every single day. She deserves a real chance at healing. She deserves to get her life back.
