Hi everyone, my name is Haley, and I’m asking for help and prayers for my sweet 15-year-old dachshund, Mya aka “Ween”.

Mya has been my best friend for little over 15 years — I rescued her on vacation off a beach in Florida when I was just 18 years old. She’s been with me through every milestone, every challenge, and every chapter of my life. She’s always been my constant, my comfort, and my little shadow. Mya has been the greatest dog anyone could ask for.

Recently, Mya became very sick as of a few weeks ago. It started with diarrhea that turned into bloody diarrhea, and now she’s lethargic and not wanting to eat. We did at home care and clearly she wasn’t getting any better. She’s currently hospitalized as the vets work tirelessly to find out what’s going on. So far, she’s had ultrasounds, bloodwork, an echocardiogram, and radiographs. She’s now in the emergency room receiving round-the-clock care. They’re trying to determine if this is something like IBD or ulcers — or if it’s something far more serious we are dealing with.

As of 10/9/25 AM - they are going to proceed with a scope today so we can hopefully get some answers.

The costs are quickly adding up between the tests, hospital stay, and ongoing treatment. I want to give Mya every chance to fight through this and come back home where she belongs.

I have thought very long and hard about making this go fund me. I feel like it’s my only and last chance to help my girl as long as I can.
