What happened?
On March 28, 2025, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, devastating entire cities like Mandalay, Sagaing and Naypyitaw. The destruction is unimaginable—bodies are still being pulled from the rubble and the death toll keeps rising. Hospitals are overwhelmed and many survivors remain trapped with no access to food, water, or medical care.
Rescue teams are working with extremely limited resources, struggling to reach everyone. Only major cities are receiving help, while rural and outskirts areas remain completely cut off. The true scale of devastation is far worse than what the world sees on international news. Entire areas have been destroyed and the smell of death fills the air. There aren’t enough teams to even clear the bodies, let alone provide aid to the living.
This is a crisis beyond what we can imagine—and we need your help now.

I am fundraising this on behalf of Spring University Myanmar Inc (SUM) which was established in 2021 with a dual mission of supporting the interim education of youths while fundraising for scholars at risk and vulnerable communities.
