Knowing the character of God and how we are made in His image, you might think Christians are known as creatives. But what are we known for outside the church? Are we known as critics, consumers, condemners of society? I’m afraid so. Why aren’t we known as cultivators? A people who bring nourishment and the best out of culture? Why aren’t we known as creators? A people who dare to do something that has never been done before, something that makes the world more beautiful? As Christians, we should feel called to fully embody the Creator of the universe. The One who laid the foundations of the earth and its dimensions, the One who set the moon and the stars in the heavens.

As a creative, I see my creating as a means of revealing God’s character and loving others. For 6 months, I’ll be joining YWAM’s DTS program, Kingdom Creatives, where I’ll be pressing in deeper, receiving discipleship, and fulfilling my missional calling to create for the Creator. These funds will help me cover tuition, travel, and living expenses. I would be so grateful for your support as I step into this calling. About YWAM

YWAM is a massive international, volunteer-run organization that focuses on humanitarian aid, community development, and training young people. While it is rooted in Christian values, the main day-to-day focus is on volunteering, traveling to developing areas, and providing support like building houses, teaching, or providing medical help.

YWAM is a six-month program. The first half is a 'lecture phase' where I’ll be living in a community and learning about leadership and cross-cultural communication. The second half is a 'field phase' where we actually go to [Country] to work on local aid projects.

In YWAM’s Discipleship Training School, I’ll be getting equipped as an artist, storyteller, and entertainer to know God deeply and carry His presence into the arts and entertainment world. I will learn foundational DTS topics through the lens of creativity, develop a biblical worldview for influence, and get launched into missions with spiritual depth, identity, and purpose. I am excited to think biblically while creating culturally relevant work and carry spiritual depth into creative spaces everywhere I go.

Conociendo el carácter de Dios y cómo fuimos hechos a Su imagen, uno podría pensar que los cristianos son conocidos como personas creativas. Pero, ¿por qué somos conocidos fuera de la iglesia? ¿Somos conocidos como críticos, consumidores o condenadores de la sociedad? Me temo que sí. ¿Por qué no somos conocidos como cultivadores? Un pueblo que aporta vida y saca lo mejor de la cultura. ¿Por qué no somos conocidos como creadores? Un pueblo que se atreve a hacer algo que nunca se ha hecho antes, algo que hace el mundo más hermoso. 

Como cristianos, deberíamos sentirnos llamados a reflejar plenamente al Creador del universo, Aquel que puso los cimientos de la tierra y estableció sus dimensiones, Aquel que colocó la luna y las estrellas en los cielos. 

Como creativo, veo mi proceso de crear como un medio para revelar el carácter de Dios y amar a los demás. Durante 6 meses, estaré participando en el programa DTS de YWAM, “Kingdom Creatives”, donde profundizaré en mi fe, recibiré discipulado y cumpliré mi llamado misionero de crear para el Creador. Estos fondos me ayudarán a cubrir la matrícula, los viajes y los gastos de vida. Estaría muy agradecido por tu apoyo mientras doy este paso en este llamado. Cualquier cantidad ayuda, y tu ánimo significa muchísimo para mí mientras persigo esta misión. 

Sobre YWAM 

YWAM es una gran organización internacional, dirigida por voluntarios, que se enfoca en la ayuda humanitaria, el desarrollo comunitario y la formación de jóvenes. Aunque está basada en valores cristianos, su enfoque diario se centra en el voluntariado, viajar a áreas en desarrollo y brindar apoyo como construir casas, enseñar o proporcionar ayuda médica.

 YWAM es un programa de seis meses. La primera mitad es una “fase teórica”, donde viviré en comunidad y aprenderé sobre liderazgo y comunicación intercultural. La segunda mitad es una “fase práctica”, donde iremos a [País] para trabajar en proyectos de ayuda local. 

En la Escuela de Entrenamiento en Discipulado (DTS) de YWAM, seré equipado como artista, narrador y creador para conocer a Dios profundamente y llevar Su presencia al mundo del arte y el entretenimiento. Aprenderé temas fundamentales del DTS a través de la creatividad, desarrollaré una cosmovisión bíblica para influir en la cultura, y seré enviado a las misiones con profundidad espiritual, identidad y propósito. Me emociona pensar bíblicamente mientras creo obras culturalmente relevantes y llevar profundidad espiritual a los espacios creativos dondequiera que vaya.
