My name is Susan, and I’ve worked in small business finance and HR for twenty years. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about management and supporting teams, but I’ve realized that communicating strategy is an area where I want to grow. That’s why I’m hoping to take a women and management class at Berkeley Extension. I believe this course will give me the tools and confidence to communicate vision and strategy more effectively, which is so important for leadership roles.

With this training, I hope to secure a position with an environmental nonprofit. My goal is to combine my experience in finance and leadership with new skills in programmatic strategy, so I can help organizations make a bigger impact for our planet and our communities. I’m passionate about using my background to support causes that matter, and I know this class will help me take that next step.
