I’m raising funds for my father, who is a disabled Vietnam Veteran. He is 82, going on 83, and his COPD has been getting worse. Recently, he can’t even walk around the house without getting extremely winded. He needs breathing treatments, has been laying down more often, and struggles with daily tasks that used to be part of his normal life.
Seeing this change has been hard. He used to be such a go-getter, and it’s upsetting to watch him deal with the physical limits that come with his condition while also carrying the stress of ongoing bills. Our family has been struggling to keep up with expenses, and we have had to dig into savings just to cover groceries.
I want to raise money so he can be more comfortable and not constantly be on edge about whether we have enough money or not. Donations will help with current bills, grocery runs, and, hopefully in the near future, medical expenses as well. One of the worries hanging over him right now is an upcoming $500 monthly bill payment.
I used to help him with that $500 payment, but because of my depression and severe anxiety, I’m no longer able to contribute the way I did before. That has made this even harder on him, and I’m asking for help so some of that pressure can be lifted.
If you’re able to give, thank you for supporting my father during this time. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to us.
