On January 24, 2026, my uncle’s life changed forever.
While walking to work in a snowstorm, he was suddenly attacked by two Cane Corso dogs. What should have been a normal day turned into a traumatic, life-threatening event that lasted over 30 minutes.
When the dogs first approached him, he tried everything he could to protect himself, yelling and trying to scare them away. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. The dogs quickly knocked him to the ground and began attacking him. He did his best to cover vital areas of his body, but the dogs bit him repeatedly, locking onto his arms. One of the dogs clamped down on his left arm and would not let go.
As a result of this brutal attack, my uncle has suffered severe and lasting injuries. These include broken tendons in his right hand, significant damage to his heart, and a large open wound in his left arm with a burst artery. He has already undergone a scheduled surgery and two emergency surgeries, all due to ongoing complications with his left arm.
He is still hospitalized and facing an uncertain future. Cooking has always been his passion and livelihood, but at this time, he does not know if he will ever regain the strength or mobility needed to return to the work he loves.
On top of the physical and emotional toll, he does not have medical insurance. Medical bills are already piling up, and he will require inpatient rehabilitation to rebuild strength and regain as much function as possible. What began as a walk to work has now become a lifelong medical and financial battle.
We are asking for support to help cover medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and basic living needs as he navigates recovery and adapts to what may be permanent changes to his mobility and ability to work.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease this overwhelming burden. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page means just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read his story, for your support, and for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
