Hello, I am a Junior at UNG. I am doing this trip for my major course class; this is the best opportunity. The UNG Summer: Tropical Ecology in Belize program is a 10-day immersive study experience that combines pre-trip coursework, intensive fieldwork in Belize, and post-program presentations. Students gain hands-on exposure to tropical coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangrove swamps, and rainforests—ecosystems not found in the United States. Through field and lab research, participants learn to identify major marine taxa, study species diversity and interactions, analyze ecological data, and apply techniques from their ecology courses. The program also emphasizes environmental stewardship by increasing awareness of threats to tropical ecosystems and strategies for their protection.
I would like all family and friends to help out and make this trip possible for me.
