I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO AN OXFORD HOUSE AND THEY ARE HOLDING A BED PENDING FINDING. ANYTHING HELPS...I am a 46-year-old father of three who has battled addiction and spent much of my adult life incarcerated. Earlier this year, I reached my rock bottom and surrendered to my addiction, choosing to seek help. I entered a 28-day program, stayed for 45 days, and left with a completion letter, but I knew my journey wasn’t finished. I transitioned directly into a long-term treatment program, and now, six months later, I am ready to be discharged with a second completion. I am actively involved in both NA and AA, have a sponsor, and have found spiritual strength through being saved and baptized.
As I prepare to transition into an Oxford House (sober living), I am facing financial challenges. I have no funds for the deposit, first month’s rent, or basic living expenses. Your support will help me get on my feet until I am able to find employment and save for a vehicle to get around. My goal is to become self-sufficient and, one day, pay it forward to others in need.
My past does not define me. I am here, ready to put in the work and show up every day because my recovery and sobriety are my life. One day at a time, for the rest of my life. It starts now, and with your help, I can, I will, I must—and I am. Thank you for your time, patience, consideration, and support. Respectfully, Michael Stanislawczyk.
