Support my SUPERWOMAN of a momma and my hero, Dustin!

Hi, my name is Kandace. My 13 year old brother, Dustin, has Cerebral Palsy. This causes him to not be able to talk, walk, or eat without a feeding tube in his stomach. He is completely dependent upon our momma, who is a single mother, for everything. She is unable to work because she cares for him full time.

My brother's spine has severely curved greater than 100 degrees. Because of this he requires an extremely risky surgery this summer or this condition will fully compromise his ability to breathe on his own. If that happens, he will need a trach (a tube in his throat) connected to a ventilator to breathe for him and would be in severe pain. Our surgery date is in the beginning of June to apply halo traction to stretch him out enough to perform the major surgery July 8. He will require 5nweeks of inpatient stay at Lebonheur Children's Hospital between the 2 surgeries. He will then need at least 2 more weeks to recover from that. Mom will have to stay with him, but Lebonheur does not provide family trays.

I hate to ask for help, but I would like to ask for help to raise money for my mom. This money will make sure she has atheist 1-2 hot meals per day (one meal is at least 15 dollars at their cafeteria) and help make sure my other 13 year old brother and 14 year old sister have all of their personal needs meet during her 2 months away from them.

My mom is a superwoman. She has always raised my siblings on her own. She NEVER asks for help, and has never been away from my brother's side. She is the most deserving person I know, and has been the best momma she could be for all of us. My mom will do without to be by Dustin's side every second he is in this hospital, so I want to help her as much as I can.
