Hello! My name is Haley Leon, and I am 15 years old. I am super excited to have received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel abroad with CIEE! This summer, I will be traveling to Rome, Italy, for four weeks in the language and culture program (June 8-July 5).

This past year, I have been wanting to learn a new language. Italian caught my attention because it is very similar to Spanish. I have enrolled in classes and have quickly realized that it is such a beautiful language. Being able to apply all my knowledge in the actual country will help me apply my skills and immerse myself in the Italian culture while also allow me to learn more about myself along the way!

Thankfully, I was able to receive a Global Navigator Scholarship that covers 25% of tuition; however, I am still trying to raise money to pay the airfare and travel expenses.
