I made it to Kyoto, Japan and I’m officially settled in. To everyone who donated and helped make that happen… thank you. Seriously. You came through for me and I don’t take that for granted.
I bought a one way ticket to get here. That’s how committed I am to this. And now that I’m here, I want to be upfront about something most people don’t realize about studying abroad: my student visa does not allow me to work. At all. No part-time job, no freelancing, nothing. That means every single expense I have…food, transportation, personal needs, comes completely out of pocket with no income coming in.
So I’m reaching out to ask for financial support while I’m here. Here’s exactly what donations go toward:
- Food and groceries
- Transportation (trains and buses are how you get everywhere here)
-Personal essentials like toiletries and household items.
General expenses that come up living in a foreign country, Even small amounts make a real difference. $5 covers a round trip from one area to another. $20 is 2 days worth of groceries. Whatever you can give, I appreciate it more than you know.
**To any company or brand interested in sponsoring, I’d love to work with you. In exchange for your support, I will shout you out on my social media, feature your logo on this page, and create content about your brand posted live from Kyoto, Japan. It’s real exposure from a real person on the ground in one of the most visited cities in the world. If that interests you, reach out directly. **
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this link is just as helpful. Send it to one person or throw it on your story… that alone could change things. Either way, thank you for taking the time to read this. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or just a kind word… I truly appreciate you.
