I always imagined that at 25, I’d be hitting the stride of my life—focusing on my health, work, and friendships. I never thought that just a month after my birthday, I would suffer two strokes caused by a split artery in my neck. This happened on Christmas Eve, and it led to a multiple-day hospital stay with many scans and tests. The experience has been overwhelming, especially as I’m also going through a breakup and trying to manage most things on my own. Now, the medical bills are only starting to stack up, on top of my regular monthly expenses like rent, groceries, my car payment, car insurance, and my phone bill.
This experience has forced me to reflect on what is truly important and to stop stressing over the things I cannot control. I have always been the type of person who avoids asking for help to keep others from worrying, but reality has hit me hard. With monthly expenses and medical bills starting to pile up, I am reaching out to ask for any support you can offer. Any donation or prayer is deeply and greatly appreciated as I navigate this recovery. Thank you for your kindness and for taking the time to read my story.
