I'm raising funds for my stepdaughter after the sudden death of her spouse, Dakota. She and Dakota had just begun building their life together. They closed on their first home on October 1, 2026, and were married on October 10, 2026. Just 16 days later, Dakota tragically passed away.
My stepdaughter is now trying to carry this loss while continuing to work toward her Master's in Education. What should have been a time of celebration and new beginnings has turned into a time of grief and unexpected financial pressure.
Donations will help her with the immediate expenses she is facing, including an auto loan, temporary home and mortgage expenses, and moving expenses. This support would give her some breathing room as she navigates the days ahead and tries to keep moving forward during an incredibly painful time.
In lieu of flowers, if people would consider donating, it would mean so much to our family. If you are able to give or share this fundraiser, it would mean so much to our family. Thank you for helping support my stepdaughter as she faces this heartbreaking loss.
We also want to thank everyone in the Prattville community for their generosity and outpouring of love.
