On April 1st, our lives changed in an instant. My son was the victim of a devastating hit-and-run accident caused by a DUI driver. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with a serious head injury and now urgently needs surgery. As you can imagine, this has turned our world upside down. Right now, our focus is on his recovery—but we are facing overwhelming financial challenges.

We must pay out-of-pocket for a surgeon in Santa Barbara, along with ongoing costs for medication, travel, food, and care. His car was completely totaled in the accident, and replacing it will be essential for him to regain independence once he recovers. In addition, the ambulance and hospital bills are already mounting quickly, and it’s more than we can manage on our own.
