UPDATE CLAUDIA IS OUT OF SURGERY AND DOING OK. She will probably stay in the hospital until Friday!
PLEASE HELP SAVE CLAUDIA!
CLAUDIA’S SURGERY IS TUESDAY, July 29th!
For anyone making donations directly to the hospital, Monday would be the best day to do so. Thank you so very much!
I have created this GoFundMe for my sister. Her young kitty has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus and her bills are mounting.
Hydrocephalus in cats, also known as "water on the brain," is a condition where there's an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the brain, causing increased pressure. This fluid normally surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord.
For cats with hydrocephalus, the primary surgical treatment is the placement of a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt. This involves surgically inserting a tube (shunt) into the brain's ventricles (fluid-filled spaces) to drain excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) into the abdominal cavity, where it can be reabsorbed.
Claudia needs this life-saving surgery as she is quickly deteriorating. Without funding help, she will surely die.
My sister rescued Claudia and is overwhelmed with this diagnosis.
Please help. Any amount helps. Claudia’s estimate is included.
