Support My Sister Tasha's Cancer Recovery
Donation protected
Do you have a younger sibling? I do. She is funny, brave, and a genius (she can make anything you can imagine from natural spa products to specialty cakes). She is not just my "little sister" though; she is a mother of three sons and is an essential worker in a hospital. My sister, as of this month, also has a new title, warrior. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and intends to fight and win.
As brave, and as strong, as my sister is, her whole life is about to change very quickly. Surviving cancer as a mother homeschooling in a pandemic is going to be an uphill battle. She will need as much support and ease as possible.
She has to quit her job this month in the hospital because she can't risk getting COVID during chemo, which is escalating where she lives in the South. She will need to begin chemo faster than she expected and will lose several weeks of paychecks. She is learning about the surgeries she will need to do to heal this year. She will need to purchase special equipment just to find a way to rest properly after her double mastectomy.
Help me gift my sister with the time she needs to recover. I want to cover her lost wages for the first six months of her treatment and cover the related expenses she will incur from her treatment and survival. Your donations will cover these costs. Any amount that you can share with my sister's wellness fund will matter.
Knowing that my community can surround my sister with love, prayers, and resources right now means everything to me. It's a grace I cannot describe but trust in so deeply. I know it is possible and can feel it already. I can only imagine what it will be like for her when she sees how many people have got her back and are rooting for her. She will survive this. Wellness is possible.
In deep thanks and relentless hope,
Anna
