Support my sister Janet in her fight against Leukemia

Hi my name is Daniel Popoca. My sister Janet is a resilient, strong, loving, single mother to four children and two dogs. She just moved into a house with a big yard close to our whole family. She found a job with John Deere that she really enjoys, and things in her life have really started to fall into place.

Over the last few months, she noticed she had been bruising very easily and that she was not feeling well overall. So, she made a doctor's appointment, not expecting the results of her bloodwork to change her whole life.

Three days ago, Janet was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It is a rare type of cancer where the bone marrow makes a large number of abnormal blood cells. This aggressive form of cancer requires immediate treatment and a long road in recovery. She is currently on the waiting list with two different hospitals, waiting for the opportunity to start chemotherapy.

We are coming to our community and loved ones for support and strength. This news has already had a significant impact on our family emotionally and financially, and this is just the beginning. Janet will not be able to return to work for the unforeseeable future; she will need to put all of her energy into healing. Our priority is making sure Janet will not have to worry about anything but recovery. We are all working together to create a plan to make sure her bills are paid, and whatever expenses that arise will be covered.
