Support My Sister & fam through Cancer Treatment

Hi, my name is Trina Dova, and I am fundraising for my older sister and single mom, Tara Monroe. She was diagnosed with Stage II Triple negative invasive ductal breast cancer on March 7th, 2022. Due to the aggressive nature of her cancer, on March 25, 2022, she started a treatment regimen of 12 weeks of weekly chemotherapy. This will be followed by another stronger chemo treatment, once every 3 weeks for 12 weeks. After all that, she will undergo surgery and radiation treatment.

My sister continues to work full-time at a bank. Prior to having the port placed for chemo treatment, she was working a second job. However, once her port was placed, she became too sore to continue her second job.

By the grace of God, her chemo side effects have been minimal, just some GI issues and some days of mental fog. If it were up to her, she would try to start driving again as an Uber driver to make ends meet. Unfortunately, her PTO will be used up soon, which she uses to attend chemotherapy and any days to recovery. Her medical bills are also a concern for her.

Even with insurance, being sick and receiving the needed treatment is a financial hardship. In addition to the physical and emotional toll, it also takes a financial one as well. Your donation is an opportunity to help. We are trying to raise money for her family to help with medical care and support the family through this time. I am hoping we can all come together and help ease some of this burden for Tara and her family.
