Support My Sister Amy's Fight Against Breast Cancer

My sister, Amy Saenz, has just been diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma of the right breast (Stage 2). As a loving mother, daughter, sister, and dedicated nurse of 23 years, she has always put others first. She’s my best friend and has been a constant source of love and support for my family and I, no matter the circumstances. She has spent her life caring for patients, and now it’s time for us to care for her.

Her treatment plan with MD Anderson includes surgery scheduled for mid-April, followed by daily radiation therapy for 3 to 6 weeks starting two weeks after surgery. After that, she will be on endocrine therapy (taking an oral medication) for the next 5 to 10 years. As she faces this difficult journey, we’re rallying behind her every step of the way, but the road ahead will come with significant medical and travel expenses.
