I am a senior film student, and I’m reaching out for support as I work to produce my final film before graduation. This project is incredibly important to me—not only is it my last opportunity to direct at school, but it’s also the culmination of everything I’ve learned so far. The funds I raise will go directly toward permits, securing locations, production design, and making sure my dedicated crew is well-fed throughout the process. It’s a large undertaking, and I want to make sure it turns out as well as possible for everyone involved.

The film’s story is close to my heart. It follows Rodger, the world’s first cyborg, who must face the tragic irony that the technology he helped pioneer has now eclipsed him. The inspiration for this film comes from my relationship with my brother and our different perspectives on technology and mortality. While my brother would embrace becoming an immortal cyborg, I’m more comfortable with the idea of life’s natural end. This led me to explore the emotional and psychological impact on an older cyborg brother who outlives his younger, human sibling. The film delves into themes of siblinghood, humanity in technology, and the experience of grief and loss.
