THE OPPORTUNITY
This past Spring, I had the opportunity to attend a Bible school in Southern Sweden with Torchbearers International where I was immersed in Bible study and practical ministry training with students from all over the world. My goal is to return in the Fall for a 6-month term to complete the full Bible school program.
Studying and worshipping in an international community of believers has been invaluable for my faith and my understanding of how God is working in the world. Each week, we are immersed in a lecture series on a book or topic in the Bible and have opportunities to apply the teachings to our lives through reflective discussions and assignments. We are also assigned Bible reading and Scripture memorization each week in order to develop a deeper habit and commitment to living in God's Word.
In addition to studying, students participate in the upkeep of the school through daily chores and weekly work projects that build our sense of community and responsibility through service.
WHY SWEDEN?
I have had Sweden on my heart since I was a child and am so grateful to finally be a part of what God is doing there. While filled with churches and Christian tradition, Sweden is considered one of the most secular countries in the world when it comes to people's beliefs. While there, I had an opportunity to serve at a youth group where a number of the young people did not consider themselves Christians or had not even been to a church before.
When I return to Sweden, I will have even more opportunities to participate in outreach, particularly during "Outreach Week" when the Bible school students partner with churches and organizations throughout Sweden to be Jesus' hands and feet, in addition to our weekly outreach assignments. I also hope to participate in a mission trip at the end of the term.
WHAT'S NEXT?
While I am home this summer I am preparing for a wonderful girls' session at Pilgrim Camp where I get to enjoy a taste of full-time ministry. I will also be working when I come home from camp in order to reach my goal to return to Sweden in September. My heart is to lead generations to Christ and to bring people from all nations together around our shared love of Jesus. I have seen this lived out at Torchbearers and would greatly appreciate your help to return there to further my studies!

(You will notice that I am only seeking to raise a portion of this cost. I will be working to cover the rest on my own, and you coming alongside me in this endeavor means so much!)
