On January 1st, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
I have three masses, and the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes. On January 30th, I will be undergoing major surgery to remove my entire thyroid along with affected lymph nodes. Depending on surgical findings and pathology results, I may also need to undergo radiation treatment afterward.
While my medical team is hopeful, the financial impact has been overwhelming. Even with insurance, the surgery alone is expected to cost around $10,000, not including follow-up care, medications, and ongoing appointments. I will also be out of work for 16 days without pay while I recover.
This time off is necessary for healing, but it comes with added stress during an already difficult period. Any support will help cover medical bills and basic living expenses while I focus on recovery.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping me in your thoughts means just as much. Thank you for your kindness, support, and compassion during this time.
