As some of you might know, I'm having a double hernia repair on December 18th! That's right, I got two hernias for the price of one (sort of).

Unfortunately, due to the nature of my two hernias and their placement on the abdomen/umbilical area, I need to have open surgery instead of laproscopic. Open surgery means there's going to be a six week recovery. I have to miss six weeks of work and six weeks of pay due to a change in my job's policy for sick leave. It also means I have to pay a month and a half of my health insurance fees out of pocket so I don't lose insurance while recovering from this procedure.

If there's any way you can help, it's so appreciated. This whole situation has led to expenses beyond what emergency savings could account for and I really can't thank you enough even for taking the time to click on this, let alone considering giving.
