I’ve been in the hospital three times in the last month for an infection in my leg, but this last time I was informed that the infection has spread into the bone of my great toe. As antibiotics are, I am told, ineffective on bone infections, the only course of action is amputation of said toe.

i have already applied for an unpaid leave of absence from my job in order to be able to rest and recover adequately, but my leave being unpaid means I am in a financial bind. So I am seeking help in covering bills and other necessary expenses while I recuperate.
