On March 31, 2026, I will be undergoing neurosurgery to repair an aneurysm located behind my left eye. This is a major procedure, and while I am hopeful for a smooth recovery, it comes with a lot of challenges. For the past 3.4 years, I have been committed to my sobriety, and since January 3, I have been living at a sober living facility in Lawrenceville. I made this move to change my lifestyle and ensure I stay on the right path, away from the routines that once held me back.

Preparing for this surgery has meant making some tough decisions. I will be out of work for at least a week, and I don't have a vehicle to help with the travel required for my procedure and recovery. Additionally, I had to take a medical leave from my recovery program so I wouldn't fall weeks behind, which adds another layer of uncertainty to my journey. The financial strain of transportation, living expenses, and the cost of getting back into my program after surgery is overwhelming.
