Beginning in March 2026 I will be undergoing two gender affirming surgeries with a cumulative recovery time of about 2.5-3 months. While I am lucky enough to have the cost of my surgeries covered with insurance, I will not be able to work throughout my recovery as my restaurant job is entirely physical.
