Support My Project: Menstrual Equity for Women in India
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Ambar Grewal, and I am a high schooler at Georgetown Day School. In my International Relations class, for our Action Research projects, we are picking global topics that we are passionate about. I decided that I wanted to research more and take action on the impact of period poverty for women in India. Over 500 million women still lack access to essential menstrual products in India, meaning that more women in India lack essential period products than people who live in the US. Additionally, around 80% of women in India rely on unsafe menstrual protection due to limited access to affordable hygiene products. Both of these statistics were really striking to me, and part of the reason why I wanted to start collaborating with organizations that work directly on the ground, making change for these women. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be sent to Binti Period International. To learn more, here is their website: https://bintiperiod.org/. Every dollar can change a girl's life, so thank you so much for your support and for helping me make a difference.
