Hello all, I have created this page to share my story in hopes that others may relate or know someone who has been in my position.

I was born in El Salvador and came to the United States (Rockland County, NY) when I was 4 years old. For the past 20 years, this has been my home, the only country I know,

I’m currently protected under DACA (thank you, President Obama), but unfortunately that status comes with many limitations, especially when it comes to financial aid. I was recently enrolled in a Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography program, working towards an Associate’s degree in a field I am passionate about. Sadly, I was forced to leave school because I couldn’t afford the tuition.

Since I’m not a US Citizen, I don’t qualify for FAFSA or most private student loans. I work full-time but with bills and other finical responsibilities it’s nearly impossible to cover the cost of my education on my own.

I’m doing everything I can to build a better future and I’m reaching out in hopes of finding some support. Any help whether its financial aid or simply sharing my story would truly mean the world to me.

Please no negative comments. I’m just someone trying to get an education and create a stable future.
