Hello everyone,

My name is Adriana Carrión González, and I am a third-year student in the Occupational Therapy program at the Medical Sciences Campus, School of Health Professions (RCM–EPS) in Puerto Rico. I am thrilled to share that my partner and mentor and I have been accepted to present an academic poster for the first time at the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) national conference, which will be held in Anaheim, California, in April 2026.

This opportunity represents a significant academic achievement for me. Presenting our research at a national forum will allow me to share our work, learn from other professionals, and establish important connections for my academic and professional growth as a future occupational therapist.

However, as a student, the costs associated with this experience, such as conference registration, airfare, lodging, transportation, and accommodation, exceed my current financial means. For this reason, I created this fundraiser with the goal of raising $2,000, which will help me cover the necessary expenses to attend and proudly represent our program and academic community.

This will be my first time participating in an experience of this caliber, and it means a great deal to me to take advantage of this opportunity, which doesn't come around often during my studies.
