My name is Bianca Colasanti, and I am a young Italian director. I am currently training to become a documentary filmmaker and I have just returned from a six-month program at EICTV in Cuba, where I developed my second short film.

I have been selected to participate in the Werner Herzog Experience, organized by Extática Cine (https://en.extaticacine.com/experiencia-wh-2026), which will take place in the Azores Islands from December 4th to 14th, 2026.

During these days, fifty filmmakers from all over the world will have the opportunity to develop and create a short film under the mentorship of Werner Herzog, who will accompany them through every stage of the creative process, from the initial idea to filming and editing. It is truly one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

I strongly believe that working closely with one of the most influential figures in contemporary cinema could have a profound impact on my creative and professional journey.

However, taking part in the program involves a significant cost, which I am currently unable to cover entirely on my own. This is why I have decided to start this fundraiser and ask for your support.

Mi chiamo Bianca Colasanti e sono una giovane regista italiana. Sto seguendo un percorso formativo per diventare documentarista. Sono appena tornata, infatti, da un master di sei mesi all'EICTV di Cuba, dove ho sviluppato il mio secondo cortometraggio.

Sono stata selezionata per partecipare alla Werner Herzog Experience di Extática Cine (https://en.extaticacine.com/experiencia-wh-2026), che si svolgerà nelle Isole Azzorre dal 4 al 14 dicembre 2026.

Cinquanta cineasti provenienti da tutto il mondo, durante questi giorni, avranno l’opportunità di sviluppare e realizzare un cortometraggio sotto la guida di Werner Herzog, che li accompagnerà in ogni fase del processo creativo, dall’idea iniziale alle riprese, fino al montaggio. Si tratta di una di quelle opportunità che capitano una volta nella vita.

Sono convinta che lavorare a stretto contatto con una delle personalità più rilevanti del cinema contemporaneo possa avere un grande impatto sul mio percorso creativo e professionale.

La partecipazione comporta però una spesa significativa, che al momento non sono in grado di sostenere interamente da sola. Per questo ho deciso di aprire questa raccolta e chiedere il vostro sostegno.
