My name is Joseph Kanife, and I am an international student currently studying at the University of West Georgia. I am sharing my story with humility and gratitude, not only to give context to my current situation but also to testify to God’s goodness in my life. My journey has not been easy, but it has been filled with lessons and growth along the way.

Ever since I arrived in the United States in December 2023, I have been fortunate to receive support from my family as I adjusted to life here and pursued my education. Their help sustained me up until August of this year, when financial challenges began to intensify both for them back home and for me here in the U.S. Despite these difficulties, I am truly grateful for how far I’ve come. I can honestly say that it has been by God’s grace that I’ve been able to stay focused, continue my studies, and meet my basic needs.

Right now, however, I am facing uncertainty regarding my tuition for the upcoming semester. The University of West Georgia where I’m currently a nursing major, has set a payment deadline of January 20th, 2026. Pursuing this path has been both inspiring and challenging. Nursing has always been my passion because I want to be there for people in their most vulnerable moments and make a real difference in their lives. Unfortunately, I am struggling financially to cover the costs of my education, which has added a lot of stress to an already demanding program, and at the moment I don’t yet know how I will be able to cover these fees. I am actively exploring every possible option—financial aid avenues, part-time work opportunities, and any assistance that may be available—to ensure I can continue my education without interruption.

By easing some of this financial burden, I’d be able to focus more fully on my studies and clinical experiences. This support would bring me one step closer to becoming the nurse I’ve always hoped to be, and I will be truly grateful for any help along the way.
