Hi everyone, my name is Kelsi. I am Cantonese-Australian and I have been a professional Latin dancer for the last 5 years, specialising in New York style Salsa On2, Afro-Cuban rooted dances & Latin Fusion. Two years ago, I took a leap of faith & moved to Rome Italy, alone with little savings yet immense hope, to train with the masters & develop my dance career.

Moving to a new country solo is a challenge all in itself, & Italy is renowned as one of the most competitive countries for professional dancers & artists. With that said, I still want to reach for the stars & explore my full potential, because dance is more than a passion or mode of expression to me - it is my identity & my survival. Throughout these 2 years of consistent physical training, musical study & cultural research, Salsa & the dances of Afro-Cuban roots have shown me how to celebrate life with creativity, how to unite people in harmony, & most of all how to be proud of who I am (A Chinese woman with Australian nationality living in Europe and in love with Latin American culture). In spite of not being born as a Latina, or not trained in dance/music since childhood, I am honoured to spread the knowledge & uphold the cultural legacy of Latin music & dance.

For 2026, I wish to display skills to a wider audience in Europe, intensity my training, attend more competitions & earn stable income with my dancing. From January 7 to March 31, there is a 3-month program called the Musicality World Dance College , organised by internationally acclaimed master Angelo Rito. It includes classes & seminars from some of the best artists in the world, such as masters Santiago Alfonso, Juan Pachanga Matos, Barbara Jimenez & more. In completing, I hope it will be open many doors towards opportunities of future work & employment, professional mentorship & development.

The cost of the course is €3000 (or a bit over AUD5500), however because of the unstable nature of my work currently, my funds are insufficient for me to enrol. This is the part where I humbly ask for your help & support: any contribution will make a significant difference towards my dance education. I may not be a superstar or superhero, nor do I know the answer to world peace - I want to become an artist that enlightens & inspires everyone through the dance & music that I love so much.
