Hello, my name is Erika Shakya, and I am reaching out to you during a very challenging time for my family. I am raising funds for my 13-year-old nephew, who is currently battling a severe medical condition known as acute right lower limb ischemia. This condition has critically reduced the blood flow to his right leg, causing excruciating pain, coldness, and bluish discoloration.

Recently, he underwent an embolectomy to remove a blood clot obstructing his blood flow. Although the surgery initially seemed successful, he is now experiencing progressive and severe pain, along with swelling in his leg. He has been placed on blood thinners to prevent further clots, but the doctors have now recommended that he undergo another embolectomy to see if it can help improve his condition and possibly save his leg.

It’s heartbreaking to see him and his family in so much pain. There have been endless sleepless nights filled with worry and fear, and the looming possibility of having his leg amputated above the knee has been unbearable for all of us.

Our family is working tirelessly to find the best medical care and treatment options, but the medical expenses are rising quickly. This is why we are reaching out for support.
