My name is Michael, and I am begging for help on my mother's behalf. She is the strongest, kindest, and most selfless person I have ever known.

For over 15 years, my mother endured a deeply painful relationship marked by alcoholism and abuse. She stayed far longer than anyone should, motivated by compassion and the belief that she could help someone who was seriously ill in every way imaginable. Despite everything, she never stopped being loving, generous, and forgiving.

Just before Thanksgiving, her fiancé was arrested after crashing his semi-truck while intoxicated. He lost his job, and overnight, my mother was left with an apartment she could not afford and without a financial safety net. In the aftermath of this crisis, my mother finally worked up the courage to leave her fiancé for good. After years of fear, hope, and sacrifice, she chose herself—knowing it would mean starting over with almost nothing.

We are now facing an urgent move in mid-February, and we are in desperate need of professional movers.

My mother suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS) affecting her frontal cortex and lupus. She is ill, exhausted, and physically unable to move without help. I am her only support. In the past month alone, I have given up my apartment, sold meaningful personal possessions, and spent thousands trying to keep us afloat—but we are still falling behind.

To make matters worse, I am starting a new job at the end of January, and I can't manage the physical and financial burden of this move alone.
