Hi there! I'm Nat, I'm 15 and I’m here on behalf of my mom. She doesn’t know I’m writing this but this has been a tough time for all of us during this pandemic. My mom is a strong and dedicated woman and it’s just my mom and I and our little 10yr old dog in our apartment. She has her own small staffing and catering business https://www.jjstaffingevents.com/ but due to the pandemic, my mom has not had a single event in a year. Our bigger clients included Google, Tesla, Dr. Jart+, POV, Siegel+Gale, The Bellhouse, etc. And you can check out their testimonials on our site. This was all built up by her and I have so much appreciation to have such a resilient mother. I don’t know what else to do because I know she puts up a front that everything will work out but I know that a year without work isn’t doing any good. We’ve been struggling with our rent for the past 3 or 4 months as well as having other debt with other people because of the lack of work. My mom is constantly thinking up ideas day and night of what to do next and so far my mom has been at a temp job that ends in about a week. At the beginning of the pandemic, she picked up on her lifelong passion and talent for baking and started selling her homemade baked goods. We had found some places to open up a small bakery for us to have a proper place for just baking but of course, that’s more money we currently do not have. My mom has studied baking on and off for 25 years+ and she gets a lot of positive feedback and it was starting to help us bring in money but getting good supplies also costs a lot of money on top of the rent that was already owed. Anyone who has met her knows that all of my mom’s work, even if it’s scrubbing floors, is always done with love and real hard work. We also need to take our dog to the vet but we can no longer afford it. She and I need that push to help us financially get back up on our feet and not have that constant worry. All I ask is that if you could even just share this with anyone or post it on your socials or maybe even just donate if you can comfortably afford it, it would make all the difference! Thank you to those who took the time to read/share this and donate.
