On July 1st, 2025, my mother’s home was tragically destroyed in a fire caused by electrical surges from repeated power outages. The fire started while she was asleep. By sheer miracle, she woke up and was able to escape unharmed. For that, I am deeply grateful.
Unfortunately, the house and everything inside were lost. This was not just a building – it was the home she built herself over many years, a place filled with memories, achievements, and the warmth of family life. It was where I grew up, and it held decades of her hard work and dreams.
While the structure itself can be rebuilt over time, the immediate reality is devastating. She has lost all her belongings, necessities, and the security of having a place to call home.
My mother Olga has always been someone who found beauty in the simple things – especially her roses. Her garden was her pride and joy, blooming with colors that brightened not only our yard but the hearts of everyone who visited. Her house was never empty; it was filled with conversations, laughter, and hospitality. Losing this place means losing the physical expression of her generosity and her lifelong dedication to creating beauty for others to enjoy.
I am reaching out today to ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference as she begins to rebuild her life. Donations will go directly towards temporary housing, daily necessities, and the long process of reconstructing her home.
Please share this fundraiser with your network – it would be an immense help. Your kindness and generosity during this incredibly difficult time are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for keeping my mother in your thoughts and prayers.
