Hello, my name is Kirsten Ramos. On July 15, 2024, at around 9:30pm, I found my mom unconscious and, according to the EMS, in Cardiogenic shock. This was all so sudden and there were no signs beforehand, so it was a surprise to everyone. After being admitted to the ER, they discovered she had endured 2 brain aneurysms. The likelihood of survival out of the ambulance is nearly 1%, and miraculously my mother survived. Unfortunately, the trauma care mistakenly shaved my mother’s entire hair, as opposed to only removing a portion. When my mom had fully regained consciousness two days later, she was left very confused and in distress. Currently, she is recovering in the ICU and will be under their care for the next 2-3 weeks. That way they can monitor her vitals and the blood that is still leaking in her brain. She was given a Vascade closure device to aid the ongoing bleeding. With this sort of trauma, other neurological complications occurred, which will take quite a bit of time to fully heal. Given the amount of blood work done, she has pneumonia and is battling some other health difficulties. Despite the pain and suffering, we are so very thankful for all the help she has received. Her kids are able to have their mom in their life, which we are eternally grateful for.
My mom provides immensely for me and my family. With her being in the hospital for a period of time has been extremely challenging for all of us as my dad and I try to fill her spot.
We thank you infinitely for taking the time to read this. Anything truly helps, and we appreciate your thoughts & consideration ❤️
