Support My Mom’s Recovery After Her Stroke

Donation protected
Update 12/31/24: it was so nice having mom home and well to spend Christmas together. Today, my mom received a $2.09 paycheck as her leave is up. She is a federal government employee- so she doesn’t get short term disability. It hurts knowing my mom worked 80+ Hour work weeks and this is all her job can offer her. With rent due tomorrow I want to help my mom as much as possible so she doesn’t have to worry about money during her healing journey. If you have anything- anything to give at all, please consider helping my family.

Update: Mom is home from the hospital and doing well! She still needs support for groceries and rent while she is off of work recovering. We appreciate all the donations and kind words we have received so far! Thank you everyone, from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible mom, who recently suffered a stroke that has turned our family’s world upside down. My mom has always been the heart of our family—strong, hardworking, and endlessly supportive. She is not only the primary income provider for our family but also the glue that holds us together.

Right now, my mom is facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. Her doctors have emphasized the importance of rest, therapy, and time to heal. Unfortunately, this means she won’t be able to work for the foreseeable future. With my dad, brother, along with their animals, depending on her income to cover essentials like rent, bills, groceries, and medical expenses, we’re facing a financial challenge we never anticipated.

We’re humbly asking for your help to ease some of this burden. Your donations will go directly toward:
• Covering household bills and daily living expenses
• Ongoing medical costs, therapy, and care for my mom
• Keeping our family and pets together and safe during this difficult time

No amount is too small, and every share of this page means the world to us. If you’ve ever met my mom, you know she’s the first to help someone in need, and now we want to show her that same love and support.

Please keep her in your thoughts as she recovers, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can provide—whether it’s donating, sharing, or sending words of encouragement.

With gratitude and hope,
Her Daughter- MacKenzie
