To some who may know and most who don't, my mom has been battling breast cancer, and it spread aggressively to her bones—affecting her spine, ribcage, and hips. She is currently wheelchair-bound to avoid fracturing her hip further. She also needs to be in a back brace anytime she isn't lying down to lower the risk of possibly fracturing her spine. Over the past several months, she has been in and out of the hospital, fighting through immense pain and complications. Her condition has progressed to the point where doctors have recommended hospice care.

She is currently in Shreveport, Louisiana, staying at her late mother’s home, with neighbors and friends helping to take care of her where and when they can. Even with their added efforts in care, and due to her fragile state, she is unable to work, and her utilities have been shut off.

Because of these conditions, she is currently unable to safely return to her mother's home or have any hospice care there.

I am her only child, and I live in Alamogordo, New Mexico. My goal is to bring her safely/comfortably to new mexico. So i can support her, and make sure she is surrounded by love and family in her final days.
