Support my Mom's Cancer Battle and Recovery
It's been a rough patch of years for my family and I. We've lost loved ones, moved, had car troubles, drastic changes in health, fur babies passing. We're now facing a new and far more frightening change.
Three weeks ago my mom went in for what seemed like a normal OBGYN check up. They found polyps and removed them. We got a call last Friday that at least one of them was abnormal, then another call that it's Endometrial Cancer. They want to remove her uterus and ovaries in order to stop it and possible spread to her other organs. We were then told she has surgery this Friday.
We've spent the last two days running back and forth from the hospital trying to determine if her heart is even healthy enough for surgery as she is disabled with heart failure.
They've determined that her heart is healthy enough to survive surgery but since she has an upper respiratory infection she's not healthy enough for surgery this week.
She's going to need help during and after surgery which means I need to take time off of work to do so. However, I'm our home's only income so doing so means bills won't be able to be paid.
I don't want my mom to have to go through this alone. I want to be there for as many appointments as possible and her not have to worry about bills or food while she recovers.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
