My mom and I have shared a close bond for most of my life. She is a scholar and a disabled veteran, always going out of her way to help elderly people and care for stray animals in our community. Her kindness and generosity have touched so many lives, and she has always put others before herself.

Recently, my mom suffered a massive ischemic stroke and is currently in the hospital. On top of this, she has been struggling with hoarding for the past six years, which has made her home unlivable.
