My name is Owen, and I’m a student at GCU studying Christian ministry, to become a hospital chaplain and pastor. My faith journey is a big part of why I feel called to serve others. I grew up in a household that didn’t practice Christianity—my family were holiday church goers. For most of my life, I didn’t have a personal relationship with God. That changed when I was watching YouTube shorts and I stumbled on a video preaching about Christianity and our sinful nation. The preacher encouraged me to go to church. A weird way of getting called but God works in mysterious & loving ways. During my third church service, I truly felt the love of God and decided to give my life to Him. Since then, I’ve been getting closer to Him every day, and He has provided for me in ways I never expected. Now, I have the incredible opportunity to join a missions trip to Turkey through Palmcroft College Ministry. In Turkey, where Christians often face persecution, I want to reach out to children and help them develop a relationship with Christ as early as possible. I believe that by sharing my own story and faith, I can help expand Jesus’ ministry and bring hope to a place where it’s truly needed. This trip is also a chance for me to grow in my own ministering skills and to learn from people whose lives are very different from my own. The funds I’m raising will go directly toward travel, lodging, and meals—every dollar will support this mission, with nothing kept for personal profit. I’m deeply grateful for any support you can offer, whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing my story with others.
