As someone who has been very independent and has dedicated their life to rescuing animals, and fundraising to help others in need, asking for help does not come easily. But right now, I cannot do this alone. For the past two years, I’ve felt like I’ve been trying to sail a boat with a paddle—exhausted, fighting against a current I can’t control, and going nowhere no matter how hard I try.

This fundraiser is for me, my medical care, my basic living expenses, and my rescue pack/family - dogs who depend on me just as much as I depend on them.

Two years ago, after an injury, my health began to decline rapidly. I developed Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), along with severe and worsening spinal issues. It took nearly two years to finally get the imaging and specialist care I desperately needed and waited far too long to receive. When I finally received an MRI in November, it revealed that I have been living with a rotator cuff tear for two years, untreated, causing cascading damage throughout my body. The delay in medical findings and treatment has caused devastating structural damages.

These conditions cause debilitating pain, seizures, paralysis, and severe mobility limitations. I am currently unable to work and have accumulated overwhelming medical debt just trying to survive.

Beyond the physical pain, the isolation and uncertainty have led to deep depression. There have been moments where hope felt entirely out of reach.

Recently, I was finally able to assemble an exceptional medical team at NYU who are ready to help me. There is a path forward—but much of the treatment I urgently need is not covered by insurance. Without this care, I face the very real risk of permanent disability. Time truly is of the essence.
