Support my Masters Course

Hello, my name is Oliver Edward Judd Dogliotti. I have been studying film production for the last four years at the University for the Creative Arts where I discovered my love for sound and where I've started building up my skills and creative flair. Over the last couple of years I have worked on over 17 short films and 7 commercials in the sound department, which have all allowed me to hone in on my skills.

I have now been accepted into the "National Film and Television School" (NFTS, in Beaconsfield, UK) for the Location Sound Recording Master; a course that accepts just ten students per year and has developed many professionals in the film industry, some of whom have gone on to work on and record the sound for films like Wicked, Mickey 17, Saltburn, Barbie, Skyfall and many, many others.

Through this course, I will be able to step up my skills from an undergraduate in film production, to that of a Masters of the Arts (MA) in Location Sound Recording, a focused course that will help me to contribute to the story-telling industry of the next generation. This course will give me the opportunity to focus on and master the use of industry level kit as well as learn from the very best in the industry.

The course has just been redeveloped to be a masters, and the cost of the course has gone up, not to mention the recommendation from past students and course leaders to maintain flexibility to be able to take all opportunities that it offers by being on-set and travelling to places where those opportunities arise. That means that a part time job alongside the fulltime course of this kind will be hardly possible. I have applied for a loan from student finance but it does not cover the course costs. I will have a part time albeit flexible job but due to course demands, I cannot rely on it to subsidise it and will need your support to help take full advantage of such an incredible opportunity to go to the National Film and Television School.
