I’m raising funds to contribute to the future of my late friend’s two sons.

Sadly; late last year, our beloved Sammy Wilkins, a great man, loved by so many, tragically lost his life.

The loss of Sammy has been so hard for so many. None more so than his two young boys.

Having worked closely with Sammy for the past couple years I personally felt that I’d lost the person that knew me best, the person that could see where I was going and we had very fond days appreciating the company of each other.

Sammy had a big heart, would never depart without a big hug and would sign off messages with ‘Big Love’. I’m grateful that his character will live on in me.

My tribute to him and his boys will be to run Leeds Marathon 2026 in a personal best time.

Its a tough course; with Sammy and his boys as my inspiration I will be training very hard to do this.

Donations to this challenge will go to Sammy’s two sons’ savings account for them to get the best possible start into adulthood without their father.

Anything small will contribute hugely to a collective 18th birthday gift to his wonderful little lads.
