Dear family and friends,
I have faced the daily challenges of end stage kidney failure since 2018, bravely attending dialysis three times a week and holding onto hope for a new beginning. Over the years, the treatments have left me feeling weak and tired, but I have remained resilient, supported by my loved ones. Just days ago, I received incredible news: after years of waiting, I was moved to the top of the transplant list and was called into the hospital for a kidney transplant. On November 29, I underwent surgery and am now in recovery, beginning a new chapter filled with hope and gratitude.
As I transition home from the hospital, I will need extra support to ensure a smooth and healthy recovery. A dear friend has generously offered to take time off work to help care for me during my first week at home. However, there are still significant expenses ahead, including the cost of home care, nutritious meals, and the expensive anti-rejection medications that are not fully covered by insurance. These resources are essential for my healing and long-term health.
Your support will make a real difference in my recovery and give me the best chance at a full and vibrant life after transplant. Please consider donating—any amount is deeply appreciated and will go directly toward my care and well-being. Thank you for your kindness and support during this important time.
