I am going on a 10-day pilgrimage to Italy, for the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025. I will be traveling with a group of young adults from the St. John Henry Newman Center on my college campus, and I am hoping to raise funds for the trip. Since my birthday is on Thursday, please consider donating to my pilgrimage fund as a birthday gift!
Here are some of the things I will see and do on my trip:
- We will have the opprtunity to walk through the Jubilee doors which only happens every 25 years.
- Attend Holy Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary Major.
- Visit the Basilica of St. Paul, St. Peter’s Basilica (Vatican), and St. Paul Outside the Walls
- Celebrate Holy Mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran (Cathedral of Rome).
- Attend the Papal Audience (if available)
- Travel to Assisi, a peaceful town deeply connected to St. Francis. Celebrate Holy Mass at the Church of Our Lady of the Angels (Portiuncula) – the small chapel restored by St. Francis.
- Visit the Basilica of St. Clare, where the San Damiano Cross is kept
- See the Basilica of St. Francis and spend time in prayer at his tomb.
- Visit to the Shrine of the Renunciation, where the remains of Carlo Acutis are now enshrined
- Visit Lanciano, home of the oldest recorded Eucharistic Miracle
- See the San Giovanni Rotondo
- Visit the Shrine of St. Padre Pio
- Travel to Monte Sant’Angelo, one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in Western Europe. Celebrate Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel, located inside the sacred cave where St. Michael is said to have appeared.
- Visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie
- And more!
This is an amazing opportunity for spiritual reflection as I finish my Bachelor's degree, and any donations would be greatly appreciated. The money will be used for travel fare and meals while I am there.
