Support My Journey to Share Dementia Research Globally

Hi friends and family,

Some of you may know, but I just finished my first semester of graduate school at USC, where I am getting my Master of Science in Applied Technology and Aging!! In my program, I am learning about how to design technology, communities, and programs that are age-friendly—specifically in my research we focus on developing digital interventions for dementia family caregivers.

Today, I was just accepted to present at the Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) Conference in Lyon, France in April of 2026. Being a grad student is tough, and while it won’t be the end of the world if I cannot attend the conference, it would be extremely powerful to be able to share my research on a global scale to the dementia community and advance my career.

On top of that, many of you know I’ve been involved for years with Lorenzo’s House, a nonprofit that supports youth impacted by younger-onset dementia. This year they launched NextGen, a global advocacy movement bringing together children of younger-onset dementia and allies like myself. As a NextGen member at ADI, I’ll be taking part in panels, community art projects, and city-wide awareness events—all focused on uplifting the voices of families navigating younger-onset dementia.

In this holiday season, I am asking if anyone who is able would consider contributing to help me get there. Your support would go toward airfare and transportation, lodging for four nights, conference registration, and the basic logistics of being there for the week.

The total cost is $5,000, which includes all travel and program expenses. Every contribution helps make this journey possible and ensures that my research, as well as the voices of young caregivers are heard on the world stage.
