Hi, my name is Kardelen Temur. I'm an aspiring teacher with a deep passion for education and a strong desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
I’ve recently been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Crossroads Townships, Cape Town in South Africa , where I’ll be supporting a local school as part of a teaching placement. This will be my first time abroad, and I’m both excited and humbled by the chance to contribute to students’ learning in a completely new and inspiring environment.
As part of this placement, I’ll be teaching English and maths to children and young people in under-resourced classrooms. The school I’ll be working with plays a vital role in the community, providing education, stability, and hope to students who face daily challenges due to poverty and inequality. This experience is not only a key step in my journey toward becoming a teacher—it’s also a chance to give back through the power of education. I hope to share knowledge, build connections, and learn from the resilience and strength of the community I’ll be working with.
I’m currently fundraising to cover the cost of my travel, accommodation, and placement expenses. Any additional donations will go directly to the school to help provide essential resources like books, stationery, and learning materials that will directly benefit the students. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help bring this project to life and support a community that truly deserves it.
